Myanmar Currency
The Kyat has been the currency of Myanmar since 1952. In 1989, 10, 20, 45, 90, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 kyat notes are introduced consequently. The largest denomination shows an engraving of the Central Bank of Myanmar. Other notes show mythological figures, important Burmese (Myanmar) of the past, and scenes of people at work. There are 100-pya and 50-pya notes, as well as pya coins, but they are rarely seen and almost worthless.
